Kentucky Author Forum Finalist for CINE Golden Eagle award

University of Louisville Kentucky Author Forum and KET are proud to announce that the 2016 Forum program featuring E. J. Dionne, of The Washington Post, in conversation with James Fallows, of The Atlantic, has been honored by the 60th CINE Golden Eagle Awards for Professional Media. Founded in 1957, CINE’s mission is to honor and champion the creators of exceptional media content.

“Great Conversations: E. J. Dionne and James Fallows” was named the sole finalist in the Golden Eagle Award category of “Interview.”

Past recipients of the CINE Golden Eagle Award include many of the industry’s most celebrated professionals, including Stephen Spielberg (1969), Ken Burns (1981), Barbara Kopple (1992), Martin Scorsese (2006), and Morgan Spurlock (2015).

Four to five times each year, University of Louisville Kentucky Author Forum presents carefully matched authors and interviewers in a live conversation at The Kentucky Center in Louisville. Each Forum is produced as a television program by KET for regional and national distribution, airing as the series “Great Conversations” on PBS member stations. The national distribution is enhanced by airings on WORLD Channel, in top tier markets across the country.

The series has, since 1996, featured diverse authors in history, science, the arts, politics and a wide range of cultural affairs.
